New digs. Yep. I'm in.

And as you will soon be able to see (sorry that I didn't do a before and after) I am cozy as a bug in a Spokane rug. And it is quite rugged, i might add. Anyway. We have insulated this little enclave so much so that I have not had to use my space heater. It is quite a nice little cozy room. Although I do have to admit, it is a little bare. I have not got any art up, neither do I have my little bulletin boards or magnetic thingies so I can .. you know, post up all the people I love and gaze at you all longlingly. Oh yes. This morning I was just minding my own business, and all you computer people who know computers know that people make mistakes not computers. Well anyway, the computer made it's own independent decision to give me a slide show of a file of pictures that i am about to print. Yes, I'm not sure how. Instead of "sleeping" and a black screen, i saw all my peeps and nephews and nieces and i watched and it was beautiful and I was reminded of how many great people I do love. Awwwwwwwww.

So my house. But first can I say that at church yesturday the pastor was asking if God were to ask, would we be willing to give up our favorite things. Like go home and look at the stuff you love and say to do the Lord "do you want this? Anyone I could give this to?" Ha ha ha ha. I was squirming. i was like "nobody needs my computer. I LOVE MY LAP TOP. and i'm NOT giving away my guitar. now way!!" I am so attached to the few things that I have. He talked about the little boy and the lunch. Imagine 5,000 really hungry people. You were smart. YOU brought a lunch. They didn't. Not like they don't have food, they just didn't plan well. You're about to eat. 10,000 pairs of eyes look at you and some guy says "will you give me your lunch?" NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO way. Get your own! Ich mayona. Anyway. Me and Smeagle are petting the precious and wondering if there is someone truly trustworthy or if we need to hold all the more tightly to the beautiful thing we have, even though our grip on it grips us and lessens our humanity.

So this is my room. I spend a great many hours there. i bought some speakers for my lap top so that i can worship loudly. I worship to survive. The speakers have one of them bass things - like a woofer.. heh heh. All you boys and some girls are dying with my lack of ability in this technical discussion.. did I even spell it right? anyway. I put it on the floor beneath my desk and the speakers are up above and I get some groovin tracks going. The room reminds me of the Beaver's place in Chronicles of Narnia. I'm not sure why - it just seems so deep down and cozy. The carpet and the mismatched pattern on the chair and the old lady lamps.. I am the happiest girl in the world. I'm working on getting some art. The Anderkids are going to supply me. I just have to be more aggressive. I realize that I suggest a lot of things but I do not assert. Apparently I need to demand. So if I come home and I'm too large and in charge, just give me time to re-adjust to Canadian. I think I told you about my steep stairs. Today I ran all the way up them without having to stop because i felt like I was going to fall backwards. don't you love the random wires. I say my ceiling is pretty one of a kind trendy. Don't even try to copy me.

Don't tell, but today I went cell phone shopping. I am on the verge of becoming . . .
